Boat Launch Courtesy Guidelines

To help ensure safety and reduce congestion, we kindly encourage 

  • Launching during NON-PEAK hours whenever possible
  • Try to AVOID holiday and summer weekends when the park is the busiest
  • Be courteous of people & private properties
  • Have a spotter to help launch


Try to AVOID Peak Hours:

  • Memorial Day through Labor Day
  • Holidays & Weekends
  • 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

LSHPOA Trailer Permit stickers are encouraged to help identify LSH members when using the boat launch or seasonally (summer only) storing trailers on association property. They are not required but help folks know you're a LSH Member.

Garbage Can Use

Garbage bins located on private and POA properties and along the main road are privately owned and paid for by individual homeowners. Please use only your own trash bin. Do not put trash in any bin that you do not personally own.

Garbage bins and pickup service are available through:


Sunshine Disposal and Recycling at (509) 233-8941.


Those without garbage pickup service can use one of the nearby transfer stations listed below.

NO DUMPING Allowed on LSH property

Clean Green Stations at the counties transfer stations will take your leaves, pinecones, pine needles, branches, grass clippings, weeds, etc.

NO STORAGE on LSH Property

  • Boat trailers are allowed seasonally (summer only) in designated areas. We encourage tagging trailer with Name & Lot # on a Trailer Permit Sticker
  • Clean-up and/or removal fees may be charged to remove items left on association property

Encroachment on LSHPOA Property

  • Encroachment of any kind on LSHPOA-owned properties are by 'Permissive Use Only'
  • The LSHPOA retains all ownership rights granted by Stevens County and the State of Washington

Tree & Firewood Requests

  • Permission from Woods Boss required to cut wood or underbrush on LSH Association property and for firewood requests
  • Wood must be used at Lake Shore Homes and not taken off of property according to our bylaws
  • Must be member in good standing (current dues paid)

Building Projects in Lake Shore Homes

Please notify LSH Board of Trustees of any planned building projects that may disrupt neighbors or impact association roads or LSH property  or potentially affect or disrupt LSH Neighbors.                                              

 

Any use or modifications of LSH Association property or roads must be submitted to the board for review and approval prior to starting work. 


This includes but not limited to the following:

  • Utility improvements
  • New Construction projects
  • Remodeling projects
  • Temporary storage of building materials
  • Temporary parking of vehicles/machinery
  • Road Closures or Blockages
  • Porta-potty placement
  • Ongoing construction noise


Property owner is responsible to return LSHPOA Association property to the original or improved condition and may be held responsible for any consequences of construction.

Notify Board of Building Project

Leashing Dogs on Association Property

  • All property owners and guests are responsible for their dogs within Lake Shore Homes
  • Any domestic animal considered to be a nuisance (by complaint) must be leashed if on association property

Boater's Safety

Washington State Boater's Safety Requirements:

  • Boat/Vessel registration on board
  • Registration decals and numbers displayed correctly on each side of the boat
  • Washington Boater Education Card (mandatory for boats with motors 15 or more horsepower)
  • Throwable flotation device
  • Type B-1 fire extinguisher


Washington State Boater Education Card Requirements:

  • Born after Jan. 1, 1955
  • 12 years old or older
  • 15-HP motor or greater

Milfoil & Noxious Weeds

  • Loon Lake Property Owners Association established a new 5-year Lake Managment District to combat invasive aquatic plants 
  • Includes Eurasian Milfoil and Curly Leaf Pondweed
  • Please inspect your beach and boat props for noxious weeds and remove if found
